Performed for a larger group of 20-40, parlor magic can use cards and coins, but also uses larger props that can be seen from a short distance.  The magician performs for the entire audience at once.  Although not as intimate as close-up, it still retains the intimacy of a smaller group.  This type of magic is best when you have a small group of people and you can focus everyone’s attention at once.
